About

My Fine Silver Jewelry is created from Precious Metal Clay (PMC). What is PMC? Recycled Silver is ground to a microscopic powder. Organic binder and water are added to make a clay. I work with the clay in wet form to shape and mold each piece. Then in the dry, or bisque form, I carve design elements into the clay as well as continue to refine and shape it. Each piece is then fired in a jewelry kiln at 1650 degrees Fahrenheit. This sinters the silver, while also burning off the binder and water. When it comes out of the kiln each piece is solid .999 Fine Silver.

I love working with Precious Metal Clay and I think it is the coolest thing ever!!!
